Our Health and Safety Policy
Safety is at the foundation of everything we do at Paria Fuel Trading Company Ltd and is essential to our success. Paria’s dedicated safety team works with every level of the organization to routinely update and improve the safety of our work processes. Through this collaboration, our safety programs are designed to promote HSE awareness throughout our operations.
Paria maintains a dedicated group of HSEQ professionals who proactively work with our Operations groups and contractors to help identify opportunities for safety improvements at our sites. Paria firmly believes employees’ involvement is critical and routine interaction by the entire team helps to identify and mitigate hazards and ensures that we maintain a high level of safety awareness in all of our operations.

Health and Safety Ownership
Paria’s safety process is led by our HSEQ Lead and is embraced and upheld by all Paria employees. Each level is accountable to the one above and responsible for the one below. Each employee takes ownership of their safety and the safety of their colleagues and they actively participate in creating a safe work environment.
Safety Culture
Paria’s Leadership believes in equipping our workers with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their daily responsibilities safely. We are committed to continuously improving our Operating Procedures and training programs to provide Paria employees with relevant, job specific training.
The Leadership has committed to leading by example conducting Leadership Visits throughout all operational departments and also reviews maintenance jobs conducted by contractors onsite. Management holds Joint Contractor Meetings weekly to discuss HSE Performance and share lessons learnt.
Environmental Management System
Paria is committed in protecting the environment, reducing its waste, and making positive contributions to biodiversity as these aid in our operations efficiency. We are committed to ensure operations are efficiently managed from an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) perspective measuring the sustainability and ethical impact. Our natural carbon sinks (Ocean, Trees, and Soil) reduce our emissions footprint by capturing excess carbon dioxide (CO2) from our atmosphere. We continue to optimize and improve our carbon sinks efficiency through reduction in plastics recycling programmes and sustainable farming.
Protecting the environment has always been a foundational value in our operations. We are committed to operating with transparency, in accordance with or beyond applicable local environmental laws and regulations. The Paria team proudly embraces a strong culture of environmental stewardship.
Environmental Monitoring
Our environmental goals are to “reduce its carbon footprint and educate our fence line community schools through the implementation of sustainable programs”.
Water Quality
We prioritise environmental stewardship. Our water quality monitoring program strictly adheres to industry regulations. This ensures our operations have minimal impact on surrounding water sources.
Waste Management
We are part of the Public Sector Recycling Program and collects paper, plastic, aluminium and glass bottles in recycling bins. We also do bioremediation of tank slush to reduce its environmental risk to acceptable levels.
